Feed your Tama properly
You know that babies cry when they're hungry. Well, so will your tamagotchi. Press A to higlight the 'fork and knife' icon, then press B to select either a snack or a meal. By the way, Tamagotchis gain one oz from a meal and two ozs from a snack. You're pet will et happy from feeding it a snack, but be sure not to feed it too much (play the game instead).
Playtime
The object of the game is to guess wheter the number will be higher or lower. To choose lower, press the A button, to choose higher, press the B button. If you guess correctly, Tamagotchi will be happy.
Lights out please
Use the light bulb to turn off the light when it goed to sleep, or else it will get restless. Your pet will go to sleep every night between 8 and 11 pm and wake at 9 the next morning when it will turn the light back on by itself.

As some of you may know, I recently moved from the Netherlands to Shanghai. In the long term, this is greatfor my hobby: I got a fair amount of stuff out of China anyway, and me moving there meant I wouldn't haveto wait a month for it to arrive anymore. In the short term, my ability to build things took somewhat ofa hit, though: aside from my oscilloscope and some small bits and bobs I thought I would have a hardtime getting in China, I left most of my electronic stuff back in the Netherlands, with the idea that I wouldbe able to buy myself most stuff anew when I had the time.
Now, I do most of my hobby projects because I like a challenge, and doing something technical without theactual need to finish it with a certain deadline has certain stress-relieving aspects to it. There certainlywas enough stress in the first few weeks I was in China: I had to get a whole stack of permits, licenses,papers with stamps on it, etcetera in order to be able to work and live there. After that died down and I hada place to live, I wanted to start a new project again. But what to do? I still hadn't have a chance tore-buy my hardware hacking stuff yet.
